1st Picnic of the year – Cow Island

May 12th weekend was filled with some good family time.  We went to Cow Island with the Little’s, Jungs, and Reddings.  The sun was warm and the ocean water was shocking.  We left sage home.  The surfing behind the boat proved to be a challenge for some after some unsettling food. Let the summer begin.

Spring Break – Merritts

Liz went to florida with her family last week.  The twins and cody had an amazing time together -swimming, running, riding, and dancing.  We went to the club one night where the average age was 90.  Needless to say the kids left their mark!!!  We went on a driving Safari where the twins cried every time they saw a lion or bird.  The weekend before spring break was the My Lady’s Manner races on April 14 where Guts for Garter ran his second race.  It was a learning experience but he proved he could run over Maryland Timber.

Happy Birthday Lizzy

Lizzy turns 33 today.  I surprised lizzy with a trip to New York City last weekend.  It was a great family field trip. We had an amazing 2 days in central park – picnic at the boathouse, the butterfly exhibit at the national history musuem, and a great run around the park, and an amazing dinner at Strasso in the West village (Perry and Hudson).  I feel so lucky to have such a great family.  Sage spiked a fever last night and was extremely uncomfortable which was really scary considering his history.  Although, he seems better this morning, we will be watching him closely as scared, vulnerable parents.  Happy Birthday Lizzy!!!

4 Months

Sage is 4 months old this saturady.  He is getting stronger everyday.  Spending a lot of his life on his tummy.  His head control is getting better and his neck strength is improving.  He is starting to really laugh and smile.  He is sleeping about 5 hours at night right now.

Good Friday

A good friday surprise.  We are taking a little family field trip this weekend.  Only Cody and I know where we are going.  Sage and Liz are totally in the dark.  Looking forward to a little family time.  Last weekend was the Bowdoin Alum Lax game and a celebration of Tom McCabe’s Coaching Career. I had not picked up a stick in about 10 years – a little rusty!!!
